![]() I'll stop there but there are plenty other good games.Of course it is, JRPG characters get all the cool names. Lots of strategy RPGs, the best being Grand Kingdom, God Wars, Disgaea 3&4, Utawarerumono, Steamworld Heist, and Summon Knight 6. There are tons of great platformers, Tearaway, Little Big Planet, Sly 4, Rahman Origins & Legends, Iconoclasts, Spelunky, Fez, La Mulana, Axiom Verge, Shantae Half genie Hero. There are a couple good stealth action titles, Shinobido 2 and Volume (also MGS collection) If you like Mystery Dungeon style roguelikes, there are a few good ones like Shiren the Wanderer, One Way Heroics, and Sorcery Saga. If you like DRPGs the system has a bunch, like Demon Gaze 1&2, Stranger of Sword City, Operation Abyss and Operation Babel, Ray Gigant, Mind Zero, and Severed. ![]() Danganronpa series, Zero Escape series, Steins gate series, Chaos Child, Hakuoki, and tons more If you like VNs, the platform has a ton of good ones. If you like Action RPGs, Ys Memories of Celceta, Ys VIII, Dragon's Crown, Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, Tokyo Xanadu, Tales of Hearts R, Bastion, and Salt & Sanctuary are all fantastic.įor traditional JRPGs, I would recommend Oreshika Tainted Bloodlines, Digimon Cyber Sleigh 1&2, World of Final Fantasy, Aetelier Escha and Logy, Trails of Cold Steel 1&2, Undertale, Romancing Saga 2, Exist Archive, and Child of Light. Phantom BraveĬlick to shrink. The Vita games you've named are good ones, but there are plenty of fantastic games on the system. Other good stuff if you haven't played it elsewhere. It is pretty much what you would expect, PSO with AI allies and mostly throw away anime story. Phantasy Star Portable 2 - I only played it in single player and it was still very much enjoyable. ![]() Dissidia - I actually prefer the first game as I'm not a huge fan of assists but the roster is a bit better in the second and both games have a lot of content to be enjoyed. Combat is a little boring sometimes and there is a fair bit of running around the world but I enjoyed it a lot. This story focuses on Zack and leads right up to the opening of FF7 bringing light and details to key scenes from FF7's flash backs as well as more characterization into other characters such as some of the Turks, Sephiroth, Hojo and of course Aeris. Or maybe not as it will spoil certain points if you are unfamiliar with the story and events of FF7. Perhaps a good time to play it with FF7R in development. If you have played MH4U you have already played a much better game and you aren't missing a whole lot here. ![]() If you have played a lot of MHW and nothing else this is probably not the entry to go to for my MH. The are still some exceptional moments in the game and some truly tough fights that had me holding my breath more than other games. If you like Monster Hunter and don't mind soloing some incredibly tough fights this is a pretty great portable/commute hunting game. Is it worth playing today though? Yes it is. MHF2 is essentially the same game minus the G-Rank expansion. I believe this is the game that introduced Palicoes as I don't recall having them when i was hunting solo in MHF2. There is little to no tutorial and no online infrastructure. Some enemies have notably bad hit boxes on some attacks (Plesioth hipcheck is a meme). A lot of the quality of life features, most notably the target camera option is not present leading to the infamous Claw control method. A lot of content but the flaws of old are still there making it probably quite difficult to get into.
